I'm Melaina, an independent developer based in San Diego with a computer science degree from UC San Diego and an entrepreneurial background.

I enjoy connecting the details: a usable interface, the logic behind it, and the workflow it supports. You'll work directly with me, from the first conversation to the final review.

Before we start.

Can you work on my existing website?

Yes. Share the public website link and describe the issue. I'll review the scope and technology before confirming an approach and price. Please do not send passwords through the inquiry form.

Do I need to know exactly what to build?

No. Start with the problem and the result you want. We can identify a small first milestone. If the project needs a deeper technical assessment, we'll agree on that scope before any paid work begins.

Are the work samples real client projects?

AutoPilot is an independent engineering project. The interactive demos use fictional sample data and run in your browser. They are not client testimonials, live email connections, or a claim of customer results.

How do pricing and payments work?

Pricing is project-specific. We agree on scope and payment milestones in writing before starting. Payment details are provided with the accepted proposal; this website does not collect card information.

Can we meet in San Diego?

Local meetings can be arranged by agreement. Remote collaboration is also welcome. Include your time zone and preferred meeting times with your inquiry.

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The demos use sample data and keep their state in memory for the current page session.
The inquiry form prepares a message on your device. It does not submit your information to a website database. If you choose to send it through your email provider, Melaina receives the information you include and uses it to respond to your inquiry.
The hosting provider and your email provider may process technical information under their own privacy policies. External project links open GitHub, which has its own privacy practices.
For questions or a request to delete inquiry correspondence, email melaina.services@gmail.com. Do not send passwords, identity documents, or other sensitive information.
